Combat Rules:
1. Both of us, as opponent combatants, may take, draw, drop any weapon in our possession without " trying" or "attempting"

3. All moves must be referenced to the direction you, and then I, when its my turn, are facing.
4. All moves that are absolute need not be tried. These are moves that do not in any way reference your or me either directly or by implication.
5. All moves that are relative must be " tried" or " attempted" . These are moves that reference you, as the adversary, and me, as the defender. either directly or indirectly or by implication.
6.. All attacks must be " tried" or " attempted"
7. All attacks must be referenced to the direction you are facing.
8. You must specify which weapon and which body part ( including if it is right or left) you are attacking and, if relevant, the type of stroke you are using.
9. All defenses, yours and mine, must be clear and unambiguous.
10. All defenses, yours and mine, must be " tried" or " attempted".
11. All defending, yours and mine, must reference the direction you are facing.
12. You must specify me, when I am in attack mode, my weapon (s) used, and your body part you are defending. You may say " she" , " her" or whatever comes to mind. Keep your language clean, please. I will do the same.
General Rules for Combat:
1. Acceptable abbreviations: rt (right) lft (left) ft (foot distance).
Designation of combatants:
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE INTENT POST there is no requirement to use my name. Nor am I required to use yours. You may reference me by any designation you wish, just as may I. Like so : She, he, it, him, her.
Pre post for a male combatant:
1. State height, weight, distance from me, weapon(s) and defense (s) AND in which hand these weapons rest.
2. Stance.
Pre Post for me:
1. Height, build, garb worn, if any, distance from you, weapon (s) and defense (s) and in which hand these weapons are held.
2. Stance.
Specific rules regarding combat:
1. Only 1-2-1- melee Turn Based Combat style is recognized.
2. Only gorean weapons will be recognized and must be declared directly on entry. In other words, you cannot use a gun. That is not an acceptable gorean weapon. Undeclared weapons are not available for you to use with the exception of what you might find naturally. A rock, a tree limb, sand, water and so on. You do not have use of animals that are wild to YOU here.
3, A maximum of three rounds each is permitted. As follows: 1-2-1-2-1-2 where number 1(you) are attacking and I, number 2 are defending and attacking. The first number 1 round is attack action only. The final number 2 round is defense action only. In other words, you get to defend my last attack.
Intent Post:
1. Your intent post must be correctly posted on the first attempt. You don't get an oopsie, a " do over" on an intent post. Sucks, but there it is.
Moves:
1. Since there is no arena here, move distance accumulations for each combatant's round are not subject to the ten foot limit. If you have no idea what that means perhaps you ought not be engaging in combat here.
Timing:
1. All posts, including the intent post, must be time stamped to be valid and accepted for judging. Three minute increments are the maximum time permitted to compose and post actions, attacks and/ or defenses.
Judging:
You may bring your own judge. I may just call in my own judge. The final and absolute judgement will come from Cabot, Sar of Ven'dara. By entering into combat here, you, the aggressor, and I, the defender, agree to be bound by the results of his judgement no matter the outcome.
I will copy him the complete scroll, from when you first entered. You should do the same. The final results will be posted on the buzzen Ven'dara group site.
